Housed in a 16th-century Spanish fort, Bordj Moussa Museum brings together the history of Béjaïa and archaeological and art collections. The building, which also served as a barracks and a prison, is an integral part of the visit: it reveals the successive transformations of a Mediterranean stronghold into a place of preservation.
On the road to Sidi Touati, Gouraya National Park Museum offers an introduction to the wildlife and plants of the hills above Béjaïa. It is a small natural history space, distinct from the archaeological museum at Bordj Moussa and the park’s historic monuments.
