Ifri-Ouzellaguen Museum is inseparable from the place where the Soummam Congress was held in August 1956. Alongside the museum’s documentary role is its significance as a historic site: the congress house, memorial and gathering spaces give a tangible presence to this major episode in the War of Independence.
